Spyderco | Cricket - Etched

It's short, stubby and round like an egg. This is the new stainless steel Cricket, another addition to Spyderco's "Little Guy" line of knives. The stainless Cricket has a small 1-7/8" (117mm) long blade of high-moly VG-10 stainless steel. It is cutout in a reverse "S" shape that lends itself to detailed and fine cutting, even cleaning fingernails and craft projects. Available in PlainEdge configuration it features the Spyderco Trademark Round Hole for simple one-hand opening/closing. The blade folds into a lightweight and very flat stainless steel handle, creating an oval shape that is comfortable and symmetrical in the hand and pocket. Acid etch handle dresses it up while adding textured resistance for top-notch grip. Equipped with a three screwed stainless clothing clip for tip-down carry, and a Chris Reeve style integral linerlock, the knife is small and light enough to be a money-clip or tie-clip. The Cricket is packs great cutting power into a diminutive tool.

Care and Maintenance

To keep your Spyderco knife performing at its best, clean the blade with warm soapy water and a soft cloth after use. For tougher grime, gently scrub with a soft toothbrush. If debris accumulates, use compressed air to clear the pivot and hard-to-reach areas. Ensure your knife is completely dry before applying a drop of lubricant to the pivot for smooth operation. Avoid disassembling your knife unless absolutely necessary, and always follow proper reassembly practices. Store your knife in a dry place and avoid prolonged contact with moisture.
