Spyderco | UK Rescue Penknife - Orange

Spyderco is the first to make clip-carry, one-hand open, non-locking folders. Stepping out of accepted knife making standards, we've recognized the global trend leaning to high-performance knives that don't lock. This is a synthesis of modern and traditional, creating a socially friendly and internationally accepted slip in your pocket knife for city and country carry.

Round-tipped Sheepfoot blades are a specialty sought by emergency responder's ranchers and river guides. Having no pointed tip lowers the chance of piercing/ puncturing what you're cutting whether that is inflatable watercraft, livestock or people. A cardinal piece of emergency-cutting rescue equipment.  Sheepfoot blades slip under clothing, rope and bindings for safeguarded cutting without sharp tip worries. Our new Rescue Penknife's blade is held open by a notched-joint at the knife's pivot. When closing the blade the notch produces resistance functionally similar to traditional slip-joint penknives. To achieve heightened control, safety and comfort, Spyderco designers add a deep finger choil positioning the index finger on the bottom of the blade directly under the thumb. This lets you choke-up nearer the cutting edge with comfort and dexterity.

The handle is available in safety orange G-10 with a tension-wire clip that carries deeply in the pocket, tip-up and either left or right-handed. The CPMS30V laser cut blade is available SpyderEdged flat-ground.

Care and Maintenance

To keep your Spyderco knife performing at its best, clean the blade with warm soapy water and a soft cloth after use. For tougher grime, gently scrub with a soft toothbrush. If debris accumulates, use compressed air to clear the pivot and hard-to-reach areas. Ensure your knife is completely dry before applying a drop of lubricant to the pivot for smooth operation. Avoid disassembling your knife unless absolutely necessary, and always follow proper reassembly practices. Store your knife in a dry place and avoid prolonged contact with moisture.
